Elvis Tribute Artist: Matt Lewis

Matt Lewis was raised just outside of Kansas City, Missouri in a small town called Lee's Summit. His family would tell you that he was a born entertainer. As a matter of fact, the only other jobs he's had besides performing were washing dishes at Neighbors Cafe in downtown Lee's Summit, and parking cars for a short time on the Plaza in Kansas City. And that was all before the age of seventeen! At twelve years old, Matt first impersonated Elvis at the local talent show. After that performance, people started asking Matt to sing at teachers meetings, local festivals, pool halls and birthday parties. Matt was amazed that he could make extra money entertaining people by doing something he really liked!

While studying to become a school teacher in his fifth year of College at Central Missouri State University, Matt realized he was making a great living impersonating Elvis on the weekends. A semester from graduating, he decided to drop all his classes and pursue entertaining full time, but not before calling his father. You can imagine that conversation . . ." Dad, I'm dropping out of school to become and Elvis impersonator!"

Even though Matt's decision shocked his family back then, today his parents are very proud of his accomplishments. He has toured the world and entertained audiences from Singapore, Germany, Australia, Poland, Canada, Japan and almost every major city in the United States. Matt currently headlines in the Legends in Concert show at the Imperial Palace on the Las Vegas strip. Numerous publications have praised and spotlighted Matt's talents, from the front page of Las Vegas' What's On, to the national magazine Entertainment Weekly. Most recently, Matt was named the "best Elvis in Las Vegas" by USA Today.

Matt has recently broadened his scope of entertaining to the film industry. He starred in the feature film, "Tears Of A King" set to be released in early 2010 as well as a day player in the movie, "Retirement" Starring Peter Faulk and Rip Torn. He also starred in a pilot for a TV series called, "Atomic City".
